Review: When Alice (Marisa Tomei) and Phil (Tom Everett Scott) has to leave town for a trip influential business, they had three children trust their parents Alices Hellion, imp equal Artie (Billy Crystal) and Diane (Bette Midler). Joy will happen. You watch a movie with Billy Crystal to laugh, and he did not disappoint. Crystal keeps in line with the gentle humor that so funny Oscars host made. Parental Guidance is back to what made him famous in the first place: nice, funny family friendly comedy. Bette Midler is one of only a fair-sex comedians who can play opposite crystal scene chewing. They make a great couple, and divide the parents laugh just as hopelessly incompetent secret genius. The screenplay is written with a focus on family audience, it does not mean that the individual or the date may not enjoy it as much. I laughed the first ten minutes, and remained a constant parade of funny answer. Marisa Tomei is a stunning beauty. He steals her scenes with matchless grace, regardless of the film, and here plays a different mother than their own parents. Comparisons made to laugh, especially where Crystal and I took interact. There is no soot, no swearing, and no vulgarity. Parental Guidance is a refreshing mix of old and new that proves what made the classics so great laugh. Syabas. |
